Xbox's October 29 line-up has Mouthwashing and The Wolf Among Us Remastered
Two very different unsettling stories appear on Xbox's official weekly release schedule.
With Halloween approaching, Xbox's official Next Week on Xbox list has two particularly interesting releases scheduled for 29 October 2026: the first-person horror game Mouthwashing and The Wolf Among Us Remastered.
Mouthwashing: the wrong kind of isolation
The publisher description follows the surviving crew of a doomed space freighter after a crash, centring on Captain Curly and the people trapped with him. Its story-based horror is a very different proposition from a conventional shooter. Xbox's announcement lists the game for Xbox Play Anywhere: check the individual store page for your platforms and entitlements.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered: back to Fabletown
The remaster revisits Telltale's noir mystery starring Bigby Wolf, with an updated visual presentation. The core attraction is still its detective-story atmosphere and choices, rather than jump scares. If you played the original years ago, the question is whether the refreshed presentation justifies revisiting its investigation.
Don't mistake the calendar for a review
These are scheduled store releases from Xbox's weekly announcement, not games GameOnCue has tested or independently verified in a launch build. Store release windows, regional availability, pricing and performance can differ. Confirm each listing in your regional Xbox Store before buying.
For something more investigation-heavy, Xbox also lists The Séance of Blake Manor on October 27, with questioning suspects, gathering evidence and an 1897 setting. It's a third option worth checking if you're more interested in mysteries than outright action.
